I ordered the 55lb bumper plates because they were guaranteed with very tight tolerances, the insert was forged instead of pressed which if you know anything about metal work you know that forged is the best possible, and because they offered free shipping. I originally was going to go with rogue simply because of the name but even though rogue was cheaper for the plates once you go to check out the plates are much more expensive with shipping than Vulcan is. Also rogue does not have a forged insert! On reception of the plates I was very impressed with how well they are built. Will definitely be ordering a full bumper set from them in the future to replace the steel set I have now. I was maxed out at 315 for deadlifts with my steel set so I needed more weight immediately so this was the only addition I could make at the moment. Only issue I have is that I wish on their combo sets they would let you pick out exactly what plate weights you want instead of having pre built packages. I also would like it if they included 2.5's and 5's on their packages even if they had to be steel. Great quality product just wish there were more options for the packages.
