Recently received my Vulcan Curl Bar. Purchased alongside a 500# set of Vulcan Alpha V2.0 plates and received an additional 5% discount on the bar, plus free shipping. Not that I can curl 400#, but the longer loadable sleeve (Olympic style inner hub) is a nice feature as it brings the weight in closer than the comparable Rogue bar at $195 (plus shipping). Plus, the needle bearing (while a bit more "loose" and noisy than Rogue's bronze bushing) offers smooth, effortless spin during movement. Knurl is light, but coupled with the black oxide finish and the damn perfect camber/alignment of the bar offers plenty of grip and all but eliminates the fatigue common on curl bars. 50mm sleeves means no oddball collars, and the bar feels well-balanced when loaded. At $140 shipped (and less if purchased as part of a bar/plate combo), this is a no-brainer. Box arrived damaged with a few nicks to the bar, and although not Vulcan's fault, Vulcan's customer service was top-notch in remedying the situation. Look forward to my next purchase.
