The original Thermostat went out at about 10 years. This replacement was an exact fit and is better in that it is easier to read and operate. Mine is located in a closet where I have variable lighting and my eyesight and patience for learning new operating systems, are not what they used to be. This unit is simple, easy to install and program without consuming too many brain cells when I need to adjust it twice a year.
