I met every criteria for a valid claim..1st rejection was quite confusing..they quoted completely wrong part to me,i rang garage to say it had been rejeted, this was email
The driveshaft has play which is Wear and tear / No mechanical breakage. Due to them not being able to get hold of this part they are wanting to replace the whole differential which unfortunately we wouldn’t cover as that isn’t the failed part and we only cover sudden mechanical or electrical failures..
The garage rang and asked where they had this verdict from..the girl said it was the man at the garage...to which he replied NO..it was actually him that they spoke to and yhat it was the differential bearings.and the driveshaft is fine.,eventually sent engineer to inspect car,he agreed with the garage.
I just found out it's rejected again on the grounds of wear and tear.
This review is definitely not sour grapes,I would like to simply try and help save others the same experience. .I honestly thought having full service history and following every instruction given by this company it would be a simple procedure.
I'm unable to take it to motor ombudsman as they are not an accredited company..and I must wait another 4 weeks before contacting financial ombudsman and trading standards.
And I feel it my duty to inform martin lewis and bbc watchdog. I would hate to think somebody who is relying on the warranty and are struggling and unable to afford the repair have the the same experience as myself
If you watch the latest upload on Instagram dated 14th may 2025 you will see the honestwarrantyguy speak about how wear and tear is covered by the "top tier product"
I only wish I had purchased this top tier rather than the meagre platinum cover I have
