Initially I was unable to pay on the website, but an easy phoned order resolved that. I bought these bulbs (to replace 18 40w halogens on the landing!) based on their high lumen output, their slightly higher then usual warm white colour, and a hope that they will last longer than the too cheap to be true alternatives available elsewhere, The financial outlay is a little heavy however. The bulbs came quickly (but in un-named boxes), fitted well, all worked and there's no discernible hum or flicker (they are not on a dimmer). As others have commented, they appear to be nearer to the 3200k colour, giving a clean pure light, far preferable in my opinion to the yellow halogen or 2700k leds. Although they are said to have a 360 deg beam angle, this is in the horizontal plane. Everyone selling this design of G9's says this. When mounted upright, as mine are, there can be an area in slight shadow underneath the bulbs, more pronounced than with halogens. I'm very happy with these bulbs, good clean light and a fraction (well, around 7.5%) of the power usage of the halogens. Payback time will be a few years, but the better quality of the light is worth it.
