Having been delighted with the R80 8 watt LED lights I bought for my kitchen, I went back for more - five 7 watt R63s for our bedroom. The 8 watt LEDs replaced 15 watt CFLs and the 7 watt ones replaced 11 watt CFLs. In both cases the CFLs, which were only four(ish) years old, had all started to take ages to warm up, and never seemed to reach their original brightness. The new LEDs all come on instantly, and all give a much brighter clear white light (the 'warm white' is less yellow than many – almost, to my eyes, pure white – but it is a clean, attractive colour. I will be interested to see how these LEDs perform over the years, but initially I am VERY pleased with them.
