These GU10 3.3 watt LEDs are excellent for replacing Halogen 50 watt GU10s. They appear to give about the same amoount of light but it is more dispersed as I chose 120 deg angle, the old ones being 36. It is a bit less warm than the Halogen light. MR16 replacments for 50 watt low-voltage Halogens were not satisfactory - poorer light, some flickering, some buzzing. I have replaced the fittings with GU10 sockets (very easy) and now GU10 3.3 watt LEDs are satisfactory - probably not quite as bright as the low-voltage Halogens, but we were probably over-lit before. If, after longer getting used to the change (a bit less light, cooler light, wider distribution) we want to increase the overall illumination, it will be easy to add some more into the ceilings (we have good access above) and at 3.3 watts a time, we don't need to worry about overal consumption. The price with this company was the best we could find and they have been excellent - intelligent, knowledgeable and helpful to talk to on the phone, and quick in re-imbursing for returned MR16s.
