As far as I can tell these bulbs are excellent value for the money. The surface mounted LEDs look yellow when viewed close up and switched off. However, this is insignificant when they are installed and viewed from a distance. When they are switched on the light they emit is a very natural daylight colour with a soft, even spread. I bought my first batch of six as part of a bathroom makeover and have just bought another six to convert my 50w halogens in the kitchen. The output is comparable but at a fraction of the running cost. The bulbs are easy to fit but I have no idea how long they will last, having had the first batch in place for only about six months. No problems at all so far.
