Haven't installed the units yet but a quick semi-permanent installation shows them to be very bright. I've bought 4 for my kitchen (4x4 Metres) and think they will be very good.
There are no discernible pin points of light and the lens is very effective at distributing the light evenly.
It's a good looking unit and I'm pleased with it.
