I bought a quadrant monsoon shower unit from the stockton store in july 2016 thats 3 years ago, im sure a shower the price i paid should last longer than 3 years and especially as it is in the second bathroom which does not encounter the wear and tear of the main bathroom of which only myself and daughter use. I mention wear and tear because that is the excuse that was given for my shower door spontaneously combusting whilst i was out. After speaking to main head office that resulted in being told it must have been knocked and had crack in. I can assure you there was no cracks or knocks ever. They contacted the manufacturer as there was a batch with a fault but i have been told mine was not one of them. Clearly there was a fault. They then said id have to contact store to buy replacement door, which i have only to be told its discontinued and no replacement doors available. I could understand if it was 10 yrs old but its only 3 years and quite expensive. The attitude and after care is totally unacceptable.
I should of realised about customer care 3 years ago when the unit was delivered and missing parts including a door and the issue of having to re-schedule installation and incurring the extra cost of that. The attitude of customer care back then was abismal with a couldn't care less attitude and a total dismissal of responsibility.
So are you able to give any solution or resolution or am i right in thinking i now have an expensive unusable shower unit bought from Wickes, the company that I will never buy from again and will not endorse or recommend to anyone.
