I placed an order of circa £800 to buy laminate floorboard, underlay and skirting boards.
I was given a delivery date in a week and a delivery date between 7am and 7pm.
I made arrangements to have that day off and booked a person to do the job of fitting the laminate boards the day after with an agreed price.
To my astonishment Wickes sent an email the day after my order to say that my order was cancelled!
I called them and the guy on the phone could not provide a valid explanation for the cancellation other than it was for "security" reasons!
I was told I could go into a store near me to place another order, to which I replied that I had no car and that I had alread an order online so I was ecpecting a manager to call me back, apologize and explain what truly happened with my order, as the items I bought were still in stock on their website.
Moreover with the virus still aroud inviting people to shop in the store rather than online is criminal.
I never received the manager phonecall and am still waiting for my refund.
