The new hybrid ferry is bigger and has lots of extra vehicle and passenger seating space. This is really good news for those passengers needing to find a quiet spot away from fighting children and barking dogs. Also quite a few of the seats on the passenger deck can be moved so that large or small groupings can be catered for.
I noticed a few other improvements over the older ferries. The toilets are now more modern and have better lighting. There is a play area for the younger children with plenty of toys and gadgets to keep them occupied. Also in the vicinity was a stack of high chairs for parents who need to be 'hands free' while feeding any of the younger hungry tummies.
The loading and un-loading of the ferry was quick and uncomplicated.
I would have given five stars for my review but once off the ferry, on both legs of my journey, I was confronted by the usual madness of two lanes of traffic trying to merge into one.
