Hired a container (and a padlock at £4.99 a month) which we had for almost 2 years. We no longer had a use for it and they said they would collect it a week later but to make sure it was clean and empty which we did. The picked it up on the first day of the month and are charging us £1.80 for use on that day (even though we couldn't use it because it was empty and clean and had asked them to collect it a week earlier). They're now insisting that we still owe them the £1.80. The words petty and small minded spring to mind!
