The 1 " diameter balls were drilled with a 1/2" deep hole about 3/4" deep into the ball. An 18" long 1/2" diameter dowel was inserted into the ball resulting in a "pig Stick" to mount yacht club burgees for display in the clubhouse bar area. Now 25 burgees are displayed above the bar indicating which yacht club had either been visited by a member or visited by a member of a visiting Yacht Club.
