Needed some hardwood dowels longer than 1 1/2 inches to repair an old table.
Checked all the local stores and the longest was 1 1/2 inches. Needed 3 to 3 1/2.
Did a google search and found them on woodpeckers.
Did an online order and it came it the time woodpeckers said it would arrive.
