Very good with some weight . I didn't have a cover on it the 1st night but once my linen quilt cover arrived, that made all the difference. I did have to put a folded cotton throw across the bottom under the quilt, as I feel my feet all ways takes longer to warm. I'm glad I didn't buy the deluxe super warm. I also use a flannellet sheet on top of us that's for hygiene, as I wash sheets at least every ten days.
