The items never arrived! I waited and waited. The dispatch email said that my books had been sent on 4 Dec and should arrive by 8 Dec. By 13 Dec there was still no sign. I contacted Wordery and they said I could contact them for a refund if necessary if the books still hadn't arrived by 14 Dec. I'm not sure why I had to wait another day to get a refund. In the meantime I ordered the books from Amazon late on Wed night and they arrived on free postage on Friday morning. I really do want to use alternatives to Amazon like Wordery (who I think do pay their taxes) but without better service it is very difficult. In the meantime it is now 22 Dec and my missing books have never turned up- which makes me suspect that they were never dispatched. I would use Wordery again but not for anything that was time critical- as these were (as they needed to be included in Christmas parcels and I incurred additional expense and inconvenience in sending them on separately).
