I ordered a 20” filter housing with 3/4” brass ports back in June but only recently got it out of its box to fit it. I found that it was not as described but had 1” female inlet and outlet are female and plastic rather than brass lined with the threaded part recessed slightly so that a 1” to 3/4” bush catches the plastic body before screwing only a few threads into to casing. The green plastic guide is useless as it does not sit square inside the housing. It comes without a bracket and bolts. The holes do not align with the bracket provided as an absurdly expensive extra. The supporting holes are not threaded. The only positive is the bleed screws are simpler than the push button version which can leak. Most other stuff bought from here has been reasonable quality but this housing is very poor quality. To get the filter to sit centrally and not wobble I used a short 28mm piece of copper tube pushed into the bottom of the housing otherwise it is impossible to see whether the filter is located correctly when screwing the main body into the head. I’ve now had to abandon it because of the poor quality. Order no #10012.
