Whilst ordering on Black Friday the website crashed after I had put my card details in. Since I received no confirmation email or E-receipt and heard nothing for days I assumed it hadn't been processed and ordered the item from another site (which I've now opened and used). Only 5 days later I got a text saying that my parcel would be delivered. Once the parcel was delivered I obviously tried to return the parcel but was told I couldn't because I had no Ereceipt, that's the things I wasn't actually given, and that I could only exchange for vouchers of the value because I couldn't prove how much I had paid for it despite having the paper reciept attatchrd to the parcel still- how then could I be given vouchers equal to the value? The box had 2 seals one which had been opened and covered with a sticker saying open and sealed by Argos the other not touched. The cashier (in the Clydebank store) said it had been opened so she had to check it and ripped the unopened seal open so now it's as if I have opened it. On the day of receiving the parcel I sent a customer service email for which 8 days letter I've not recieved a reply. I did eventually get a measly response from the Argos helpers Twitter who assured me that if I sent my address an email would be sent with my Ereceipt but it could take 2-3 days. How long does it take to recover a an order when the order number is given, bearing in mind it has now been over a week since I received the parcel and almost two since I paid for it. - any longer and the receipt will be out of date.
