Do Not Buy Bikes from Argos if You Want to Stay alive. And I am not even joking. I am absolutely horrified by my experience with Argos and their handling of a life- threatening issue involving a self-assembly bike I purchased. The bike had a clear manufacturing defect, which I noticed after the accident I had. After reaching out to Argos, I provided all the evidence, including photos showing a misfit rim and serious safety concerns. I said I will escalate issue further if they will not resolve the case as they ought to. Despite this, Argos ignored me and gaslighted me throughout the process. When I asked for documentation of the bike’s quality check, I received no response, just plain email included in this review. Andrew H., an Argos executive, denied any responsibility, blaming me entirely as the customer. He also failed to acknowledge the fact that I had already taken the bike for an independent quality check, which revealed the bike’s instability and safety risks, including a misfit rim and potential brake failure. Argos never conducted their own quality check, and it’s clear from their response that they were trying to avoid any accountability. Andrew H. was a second executive who was dealing with my complaint. The first executive, Lee H., have never took my complaint seriously and had a hope I will forget about what happened to me, by simply ignoring me. So I had to remind them about my case starting again from the scratch and receiving new case number. Don’t ask what has happened with my complaint with executive Lee-I was never updated on that. This is warning to YOU, every potential customer. Andrew told me Argos is not responsible for safety of the products they are selling, which in reality they are responsible for selling unsafe products under The Consumer Protection Act 1987. Remember that. And remember, he was trying to avoid responsibility but do not mind having a position of executive, while being incompetent of owning it. This bike should NEVER have been sold. It is a serious safety hazard that could have resulted in severe injury or worse. Argos' executives refusal to acknowledge the issue and their dismissive attitude towards customer safety is shocking. My experience has left me with lasting health consequences, and I strongly advise anyone to avoid purchasing bikes from Argos. Their negligence and lack of responsibility make them a company that simply cannot be trusted when it comes to your safety. Simply because they have clueless executives who only counting profits over customers safety. Do not make the same mistake I did—stay far away from Argos when it comes to bikes!

I ordered an ironing board to be delivered on Saturday. The courier left me with an air fryer and although I told him that wasn't mine he just left me with the fryer. I went onto Chatline which is a complete joke, why don't they use real people from the start? On Sunday 8th Dec. I got through to a real person and the pickup and delivery has been arranged for sometime today. What really annoys me is 5 months ago in July the same thing happened, I ordered a Hoover vacuum cleaner, they sent the wrong model and when the correct one was sent one of the attachments was missing. It's a shame Sainsburys brought the company because Argos prices are much too high for many of the goods and as for customer service, well... I left a 1 star review on Trust Pilot but to reply you need to be on Facebook or Twitter which I'm not.

Argos are an awful company, after waiting 8 days for the earliest delivery slot for my sons bed the delivery truck arrives with just the mattress! apparently the bed frame is on another van, so instead of arranging for the bed frame to arrive later today i then get a phone call saying i have to wait another FIVE DAYS for the bed frame to arrive!!!!!! I ring to make a complaint (which was of no assistance at all) when i asked for refund was told it would take up to 30 DAYS TO RETURN MY REFUND!!!! yet they took my money instantly for the order, My son is autistic and all of this is not good for him at all, i am full time carer to my parents and arranged this specifically for my day off, think twice before ordering from this company.

I ordered a sterling silver chain along with 2 other items. The chain didn't get delivered and the delivery driver kindly phoned the store to find out information for me, they told him they didn't have it in stock and I could get a refund, a refund which I've had to chase up myself, they are now saying it needs to be investigated because it's coming up as delivered!! I didn't even get notified via email that my item was out of stock or even a notification about it being delivered. I am still waiting on my refund! I need to chase MY OWN money! I will be taking this further as this is unacceptable!

WARNING : AVOID ARGOS AT ANY COST. I ORDERED AN ITEM FOR NEXT DAY STORE COLLECTION. ITS BEEN A WEEK AND IS STILL NOT HERE. I CAN NOT CANCEL UNTIL IS DELIVERED TO STORE AND THEN I NEED TO WAIT 30 DAYS FOR REFUND. HOW SOMETHING LIKE THIS CAN BE EVEN LEGAL??? ALSO CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY RUBISH MAKING STORIES AND LIES. NEVER I WILL BUY ANYTHING FROM ARGOS AGAN!

An £700 Apple iPhone Warranty Lesson – Buyer Beware On 28 March 2023 I bought an iPhone 13 from Argos for £700. Up to then I’d always bought my Apple products from Apple directly. In June 2024 (15 months later) the phone died completely. The phone was in ‘as new’ condition externally and hadn’t been subjected to any trauma. I took it back to Argos. They told me that, unlike Apple and John Lewis who provide 24 months warranty, their warranty only lasts 12 months. As a result they weren’t prepared to replace it. I took it to Apple. They tried to carry out a diagnostic check but it was completely dead. They told me that it was not financially viable to repair it. I took it to an independent electronics company on the high street to get a report. They managed to get it going but there had been a motherboard manufacturing failure that meant it wasn’t financially viable to repair. I have a report to this effect but it appears to be meaningless. The true worth of an organisation isn’t how they treat their customers when things are going well, but the experience they provide when things go wrong. I now know that as an individual I mean absolutely nothing to Argos. When I tried to reason with them all I got quoted from the store representative was their legal interpretation. I have spent thousands of pounds with Argos in the past, but as it stands I will never buy from them again. I have made multiple journeys at my cost, and spent hours of my own time over several months, trying to get a resolution. I personally don’t think that paying £700 for a premium item that fails after 15 months, and is then deemed worthless, is acceptable. I am sharing my experience to try and prevent anyone else from making the same mistake I did when I chose to buy my iPhone from Argos.

Wrong item was delivered, two weeks later and I still don't have a refund or the right item, ordered a very expensive desktop computer and I'm still out the £799 I spent on it with no refund and no computer I will not be ordering from them again this whole process has been ridiculous

I bought a Halloween product through Facebook. I wasn't even aware it was being sold through Argos. I never received an email confirmation of the sale or anything. The products (I bought 2), arrived late on November 6th, and were completely fake and not as advertised. My credit card company advised me to reach out to Argos (who the charge was for), as part of the dispute. Argos has been nothing but argumentative and combative. This is most certainly a "buyer beware" situation that I got suckered into. Bottom line, they sell cheap Chinese products, and then substitute them for even cheaper Chinese products to take advantage of you.

Avoid getting involved with this business, assuming it is a business at all. They are all clueless dilettantes. Additionally, you receive calls from different numbers. They use different numbers to call you. I used the services of a company called "T O N E L I M I T E D." after my encounter, and they assisted me in getting my money back. Since I committed this terrible error, Since that was the least I could do, I decided to make sure that each victim received their money back.

At first, everything with them proceeds without a hitch; you regularly receive returns from the deal. The system first denies your request to withdraw money and directs you to a department that works to fix the problem within a day. After that, you can withdraw up to $400 once, but bigger amounts are rejected. If you don't comply, they then start to demand payment and threaten to freeze and seize your funds. Avoid investing in such sites because you will lose everything. I lost a hundred thousand dollars. I was able to get my money back after crying to a friend who put me in touch with the M-E-R-S-E-Y-H-I-P.C-O-M company.

You say that you value your customers but...... Below is the reply that I got to a review I left after receiving a damaged item. I got in touch via the link provided (Facebook) only to be told "we don't deal with these requests here, wait for a reply". I repeated the fact that this was my reply and I was then told "I'm placing you in the queue that deal with these requests". I've been waiting for an hour and a half so far....You say that you value customers but the way that you treat them is contrary to this. I thought I had ordered a clothes rail due to the picture and description but it turned out it was just a plastic transparent cover. Fortunately the competent staff at Kimberley Argos refunded my money straight away and then proceeded to help me find the required item but unfortunately not in stock anywhere.

Terrible service from this company.i am disabled n had to travel back to store in sellyoak awful rude manager Eliza I ended up leaving without item I ordered n told refund wud b in my account several days later.customer service number useless been outsourced rude unhelpful don't have a clue.wat has happened to this company? Thanks to family help I was able to purchase from Curries for nx day delivery.i will never ever use Argos again n wud advise anyone else to not go near them.never had such a bad experience n such rudeness n don't care less attitude now wudnt touch with a barge pole! Rubbish company.Avoid!!
