I am deeply disappointed with Argos and their handling of my refund. I cancelled an order for two toddler cot beds nearly 6 weeks ago, yet I have only received a refund for one. Despite contacting customer services multiple times and speaking to five different representatives, I am repeatedly given vague excuses such as “it has been escalated” or “it’s been dealt with.” Nothing has actually been resolved. As a mother of twins, this missing refund is not something I can afford to simply let go. What makes this worse is the lack of accountability and genuine support from Argos. This is not the level of service I expected from a brand I once trusted. Argos used to stand for reliability and good customer care, but sadly this experience has left me feeling ignored, let down, and questioning whether they value their customers at all. I would strongly urge others to think twice before ordering from Argos, as their customer service no longer reflects the trustworthy reputation they once had!

Ordered Bush fan for £20, same day delivery. Stopped working after two weeks but then started again. Finally broke down after 31 days. Returned to shop but they said I had to ring Customer Service first. After a fraught hour on the phone with three different advisors trying to download photos of the fan and box, I managed to get them to agree to give me my money back. Collected from home, money refunded. I am an elderly lady and will never order from Argos again. Dreadful returns policy. Avoid at all costs, it's not worth it!!

DO NOT SHOP here anymore ... they are essentially making me pay for a product 2 times, because of a payment system error. Customer service is very confused and not willing to help. If you have Argos card, better clear your balance and close your card....other services like Klarna are much better anyway. That is what I am going to do, after being their customer for years.

Terrible returns policy. I tried to return a colour tv because my husband didn’t like the quality of picture. There was no contrast and sometimes faint to watch. I tried to return tv after only 13 days but they wouldn’t give me a refund as they said it had been used? How can you possibly tell if a colour tv is any good unless you unpack it and watch it?? Very unhappy customer and I won’t be using Argos again and I think I shall make a complaint with Trading Standards.

Absolutely shocking service I’ve had 2 ovens ordered for 2 weeks now and still no delivery. Can’t get any help from customer services. I have just been offered a refund for £808 but to reorder it’s going to cost me £898 so I’m £90 worse off . All because they have a glitch in the system. Very very poor customer service. I’m stuck now with no ovens to cook food and I’m in no better situation. If a manager gets to see this review please help me . Regards Richard & Louise French Order number 257881879

I've never had such a bad experience. Orderer a bed to arrive the day I moved into a new property, paid the extra £20 fee for it to arrive at a specific time. Nothing arrived and I received 0 communication. I've now been told it's been reschedule for two weeks time!! So I'm going to be sleeping on the floor for two weeks. There wasn't a single bit of communication to explain what happened, whether or not i'll get a refund/compensation or even a sorry!! Absolutely fuming.

Bought a fridge from Argos. The price was the same as every other seller but Argos had an offer of free recycling of my old fridge. There was no way to select this offer it was put on automatically. I also asked for assistance in a shop and the staff member also couldn't find the option to select recycling and I was informed it's automatic. When my purchase was delivered they had no record of the recycling offer and refused to take my old fridge. Update: Argos never responded back to my enquiries and after me following up several times was told there is nothing they can

Hi Argos, I’m just writing a review about the delivery you promised me to deliver in North Holt Sainsbury’s store at 5 o’clock but nothing happened. I tried to talk to somebody but I’ve been connected to live chat online service however after 15 minutes I find out and I’ve been told the delivery van is broken Then I chat to somebody on the phone and they told me that there was no room in the van to deliver it to Sainsbury Northolt and she say they don’t know when it’s gonna be delivered So Argos, if that’s your service and line to customers When I bought the items you say in the order is going to be delivered to Sainsbury at 5 o’clock.customer that been going to be delivered at 5 o’clock but nothing happened I think you should have to inform and Tell your customer about the delays by email or text message My order number 660557060 I I wasn’t impressed Ron Teskey

Disgusting customer service from Ian and Janet today at the Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent branch. They refused my return, which reading the reviews is a frequent occurrence with this store. I took it to a different store, explained the situation to which they apologised and issues a full refund. I explained the packaging of the item arrived damaged but the item had never been used, having only purchased it the day before. Both employees (Janet & Ian) accused me of lying, when challenging them on this Ian stood there and laughed in my face. I am absolutely appalled by this behaviour from both employees, but in particular with Ian who is supposedly meant to be the manager of this branch. Thanks to the other store the issue was resolved, and therefore I am now in the process of making a formal complaint about Ian.

Argos Walsall Wharf. Purchased item (kids gel blaster gun). It was faulty and didn’t work (I now have video evidence). Staff in store were dismissive and ‘tested it’ by firing a few of the orbeez into a bin around 3 feet away from the gun. This was evidence that the toy worked as described. The manager ‘Andy’ was rude and dismissive. Started telling me how Argos had changed due to iPhone fraud - not sure how this was related to my gel blaster. I have a contact who works in senior management at Sainsburys who is looking into this for me otherwise I’d be at a complete loss - online chat doesn’t deal with stores and the phone line leads to dead ends. It’s as if the stores can do what they like. I will be pursuing this until I get a refund. The cost isn’t the issue (£35) - however, it’s the principal. The store staff, especially ‘Andy’ need retraining.

Ordered item was faulty when picked up from collection point. Online information regarding returning it was unavailable, telephone long-winded and chat contact unsatisfactory. Online help pages didn't open and phone numbers not answered. I will never buy from Argos again.

Their customer support is possibly the worst I've experienced online. Not only does their 'Chat bot' repeat the same questions (how many times do I need to tell them my name, email address and order number?!), their human support doesn't do what they say will. I requested a change of delivery and was told that the change had been processed. Later that day I get an email saying that they had attempted delivery at the previous time and that the order was now refunded as it couldn't be delivered. Completely useless.

I just bought a bike with price of £160, but today I found the price dropped to £128, I spoke to customer service on the phone, also chatted with customer service agent on the online chat, both confirmed that I had the right to get the price difference, I only needed to go to Argos shop to get this refunded. I then went to Argos Ringwood shop at 24 Meeting House Ln, Ringwood BH24 1EY explained the case but the man in the counter told me I had to bring the bike to him! I said to him the bike is assembled already, and I also spoke to the customer service on the phone and online chat, both occasions no one told me I need to bring the assembled bike to the shop! I also tried to show him the online chat record, he simply did not bother, just insisted on “you have to bring the bike here” to prove you have bought it!” What a non-sense! He can check the record from his computer, why I need to bring the bike to him? What if I bought a fridge-freezer? should I bring it back as well? Is that Argos policy or his policy? Was he just making things difficult?! I told him what the customer service on the phone and the online chat agent told me that no need to bring the bike to the store, but he simply said “They can say whatever they wanted, but I won’t listen to that, you need to bring the bike here, otherwise you may go to other shops to get the price difference again!” ----this is so ridiculous! How could Argos’s customer service counter say this to a customer in such a nasty way? How could a customer go to different store to get price difference just because they don’t bring the bike? Argos system is right there to check if the customer claimed the price difference already, once claimed they won’t be able to claim again, how could that counter man said this to a customer?! This is disrespectful and insult! I have all the right to get the price difference! But I don’t deserve to be treated like a cheater! So disgusting! Argos need to train your staff to behave and respect, not treat customers like thief!

Poor customer service the call centre is based in China advisor's keep disconnecting calls l received a faulty item and it had truly been a stressful experience l was not able to speak to a manager or escalate my complaint each time requested to speak to a manager the same advisor was on the phone pretending to be a manager in the end l had it to write to them and get trading standards involved it was a long stressful process argos l would never recommend not reliable
