Just checked my online account to find my order placed on Wednesday 30/08/2023 to be delivered today 01/09/2023 cancelled - not by me - contacted local store to be told you had a technical glitch - have to say not impressed - no email to tell me it was cancelled either - apparently this was also due to a technical glitch. Have to say that since Argos stopped the catalogue I have rarely purchased from you as i cannot find things as easily in the online shop. Very disappointed 😔

Poor faulty product support. I bought a Bush WDSAE86W 8KG/6KG 1400 Spin Washer Dryer - White - 932/7801 with extended 3 year guarantee. One of the main reasons is the machine is very shallow, i.e. depth as l have the outlet pipe at the back of where it needs to go. It was delivered but in less than 2 weeks it developed a fault. I rang the 'under one year guarantee engineer/call out support line'. They took my details and wanted 3 pictures of the machine front, back and side. I thought this odd. I sent photos and contacted them again and they said it was not covered because it was in a steamy environment i e a bathroom which it wasn't. They quoted chapter and verse from the manual 'dos and dont' page on why they would not honour the guarantee. It was in a small utility room with a space saver toilet. I tried to explian this and say it was vented. They weren't having it and transferred me to the after sales team. They listened to what l had to say and offerred a refund, repair or replacement. Why is it there are 2 diametrically opposed sides to Argos customer service? I took the replacement. Its working fine. My concern here is whether the after sales repair/enginneer support team (Domestic & General insurance) and Argos will honour my quarantee if l need it in the next 3 years. The engineer support team is operating 'sharp practices'. Also what if you are not tech savvy and can't supply electronic photos what happens then?. It is discriminatory in this regard as well and would be very stressful if you are elderly. The requirement to supply photos to them has the prime purpose of trying to find a way to not honour the guarantee - beware! blinking sharks. I wonder if my extended guarantee will now be honoured if l have a problem. Also, when l rang to register the replacement machine with the helpline (which is operated General & Domestic ins) they were curt and tried the hard sell for me to buy other appliance insurance which l declined! I am very disappointed with this inconsistent and very poor customer experience. Update: Argos will not let me post a version of this review on thier site. I think this is disgusting behaviour.

I was really disappointed of Argos because recently their policy has turned into deception of customers by putting some clearance discount an unavailable items which had never existed at any branches around the UK to attract people to buy something else. This is clear deception with a sly manner… But remember most of people are not idiot to get fool😡😡

Refused me a refund for a damaged laptop and accused me of damaging it. Got my money back via a bank "cash back" process. The fact Argos refuse to be regulated by an ombudsman speaks volumes. Disgusting, greedy firm that deserves to go out of business.

Ordered a washing machine for my parents. Paid for the recycling of old item and installation. Parents were unable to disconnect the old machine and had never done this before but pulled it out and had area clear for the delivery. Delivery driver arrived and said they wouldn't disconnect and left within 2 minutes. Parents very distressed. A nice lady on phone was able to give me a full refund but what a time and waste of effort for everyone especially my parents who had to wait another week for a washing machine from a different company. When paying online and selecting the installation option it should clearly state that they will NOT uninstall your old machine. I only found this out in the small print after!

Sad that I cannot do zero stars! Argos FAILED to deliver an item twice. Asked me to reorder and wait in TWICE! And KNEW they wouldn't be delivering TWICE -the customer agents could see the messages that they were cancelling but NOBODY bothered to tell the customer who was still waiting in. Customer service, whilst polite and fast to reply, insisted I had to re-order it. What? And waste time for a third time? No thanks Argos. Would never trust you again. Also cut off the chat when I was trying to sort it out.

I would give 0 * if that was an option! I placed an order for a dishwasher, a month ago they took the money ,delivery date set.my husband took a day off work. Mid morning they text to say because of a technical fault the order had been cancelled. I mean angry is not the word. Customer service and online chat next to useless. And the money won't be credited back to our account for at least 5 days!!!! Absolutely won't be buying from Argos/sainsbury again.

Been into the Kingswood store in Hull to take an item back as when I had put it together it was tiny and not fit for purpose. I tried taking it back after only a couple of days and Lauren the manager refused to take it as it is now used!! I am absolutely appalled with her attitude and lack of empathy and clearly should not be in a customer relations position never mind a manager. Spoke to customer services who said they couldn’t help it was up to the stores discretion so a total waste of time. I thought a large company like this would try and accommodate but clearly not.

Never again. Product ordered for delivery, time slots are no longer available just 8-5 now. Checked online for delivery update and it said just 3 deliveries away now! 3 hours later and check update again and still 3 deliveries away. What us is an update service like that? I'll buy elsewhere from now on

I ordered an table with 4 chairs, after I lost over 3 hours assembling the item I realise that The last chair front leg of the item was damaged I call costumer service on 03456402020 and they LIE that they don’t have this item in stock to order or delivery even when I explain I can see order it online and receive it same day delivery they say that they don’t have it on stock but they can offer me £10 gift card in order to keep the broken chair keep in mind the item cost is £200 after I tell them that is not an option at all as is not a minor issue like a scratch or something and is a major damage that make the item unusable they say that they can rearrange collection but I need to disassemble the item put it on the original package and then I will receive the refund with in 30 days 😒 do I lost 3 hours in assembling and now I will start disassemble and I will receive my money back in 30 days eventually as I can see several comments that people waiting for months and months for refund and don’t receive it so the greedy owners can keep the interest or work with peoples money by sending out broken items that they know you will have to return or trash clearly a scam!!! definitely that was the last time I ever gonna purchase anything from Argos the customer experience have become the worst thing ever since this brand has been both by Sainsbury !!!

Bought a Bush TV last May. Had to return it in January as no internet connection and sound crackling. Was away for exactly a month. Today the picture disappeared and there was a thin purple line down the screen. Argos insist it must be sent for repair again. I have no confidence in either the TV or the repairs and would like a refund but they insist it must be sent for repair again as it's a different fault. Ten month old TV away for repair twice. Not happy.

Fobbed off for being disabled. Had ordered a washing machine two weeks ago and heard nothing back. I tried numerous times to contact them only to be fobbed off. Eventually spoke to someone who tried to help only to be told I would have to re order and would be refunded but have to wait up to a week for the refund. Meaning another week with no washing machine while awaiting the refund. Tried explaining I was disabled and had no washing machine or clean clothes and no money to make new order. So asked if my order could be changed as I could not wait another week for the refund to arrive before being able to order another. But was fobbed off with a £20 voucher instead, which is not going to fix my problem of having no washing machine and no clean clothes for another week after waiting two weeks. Utterly unacceptable and a total breach of access to goods and services legislation.

Ordered online, got product, opened it but it didn't suit so am now stuck with it because I had opened it. Something isn't right about this but they refused to take it back. Will never skip there again.

Bought a Lego switch game as part of a pack. Would not return it due to the game not having wrapping on it. The game was in a box with a case so it would not have. I asked them to open on on shelf and they refused. Then they told me to contact Argos online. They said it could not be returned as it is a digital download but that is not mention in the returns policy. They agreed that is was not but still would not accept any responsibility so just kept the money and now we have a game that is useless. Really need to looks at returns policy on the website as it does not line up with what is in the product description.
