I ordered a TV last Saturday and selected the 7pm-10pm delivery slot. I waited up in the front room for it to arrive and they never showed up, had no emails or calls. I left it in the hope that they'd arrive the following morning by some miracle. The next day at around 3pm they call me to tell me they're actually out of stock and that it'd take a week for the item to get down from some other warehouse and they'd rearranged the delivery, I agree to this which takes the woman on the phone by complete surprise so she quickly hangs up. Immediately after this phone call, I get a text through from Argos saying my item was cancelled and is to be refunded. I shrug it off assuming it won't arrive and then three days later they took the money out of my account.
If you really have to buy from them, you'd save A LOT of hassle if you collected it yourself.
