I have bought in Argos back in the pass and to be honest I have never had a single problem.
However, I have just bought an item at the store but it was not good enough for me so I wanted to exchange it for a more expensive one. The package was so difficult for me to open without breaking the box, so I went to the Argos shop to be informed that I could not exchange this because of the package.
I was given the excuse that every other retail company has the same rules, when that is not true at all. Also, another excuse that I was given in customer services is that I should have read the rules on the website (well surely I should not).
It is a shame for a company like Argos not to accept a return when the customer is saying that she was literally not able to open the box due to the difficult packaging. I don’t know what has happened to Argos customer service.
