I. Brockman
I purchased a Christmas tree in July; opened the box on November 4th and put up the tree. On November 10th I tried to turn on the lights, but they did not work. I called customer service and they determined that the tree was defective. They provided a free label for me to return the tree. And told me the tree I ordered was no longer available. I was given two options for a similar size and lighted tree, but there was no mention of an available coupon that would have saved us 20%. We chose one of the trees, noticed today that the tree we were told had the same lighting system, did not in fact have the same lighting system. When I called customer service to request a 20% discount (that unfortunately, ended 8 ½ hours ago), I was told that they could not apply the 20% discount to the existing order or to the more expensive tree that had the lighting options I wanted. Their manager was courteous, but only offered to reduce the price by $120 vs. $419.80 (if the 20% discount had not expired last night). I asked to speak to her manager and she said "I AM the manager". I've seen nicer trees at a local Christmas shop. I plan on going there today and canceling my current order.
