Clark shoes have until this week been my "shoes to go for". However this week, I wore a pair of gents shoes during particularly heavy rain in Edinburgh. After about 10 minutes exposure to wet weather, the soles parted company with the upper shoe on each foot leaving me with effectively no shoes and freezing wet feet. Admittedly, these were not new shoes but I do look after my footwear. I do not have proof of purchase.
On the basis of the reliability of these shoes, it is highly unlikely I will ever purchase, or recommend, Clark shoes in the future.
