I attempted to purchase a record on Discogs. The seller had a problem with his PayPal account and was unable to accept my payment. This is the only payment method the seller offered. I communicated with the seller and he attempted to resolve his problem with PayPal. In the meantime, 7 days passed and Discogs gave me a negative rating (the first negative rating I have had on any site, including over 300 purchases on ebay). I sent the email streams between the seller and me to Discogs customer service to no avail. I still intend to pay for the record in spite of all this (that is only fair to the seller). Once that is accomplished, I will close the Discogs account and never use the service again. This is about as shoddy a business operation I have come across since the invention of the Internet. If I could give zero stars, I would.
