I always selected Ecco shoes for their quality, comfort and durability. No more. I paid over $200 for a pair of sandals that I wore sporadically for 2 months last summer. When I pulled them out for the season I noticed a large splitting the bottom sole. When I contacted customer service, after much back and forth, I was issued a $150 credit voucher which seemed reasonable. However, the credit could ONLY be used online. When I searched for replacements online there was nothing similar and I ended up selecting something that I didn’t even really like and ordered the exact size I always wear in Ecco shoes. I had to pay another $38 over the $150 credit. When they arrived not only were they at least one size too large but the quality was substandard. More like something you would find at a discount retailer. When I contacted Ecco and escalated my concerns I was told that I would have to pay to ship them back. All I wanted was to return them and get a 150 voucher that I could use in their store to buy something I like and that fit properly. I could not reach anyone by phone and was told they only communicate by email now. So I have donated the poor quality replacements and am out almost $250 for a pair of sandals that lasted about 2 months. No longer a fan will never buy Ecco again.
