“For more than 15 years I am using Ecco shoes. I have flat foot and others brand make my feet sore. I heard some people said their are expensive but if you calculate the years that you used they’re cheaper. I had some I don’t want throw away and after using for many years still really good. I buy quality not trending. They are Good and comfy.”

“I have worn ECCO shoes for more than 15 years. Just ordered and received a pair of Soft 7s. ECCO should be embarrassed to have reduced quality to this low level. Goodbye ECCO.”
“Very comfortable sandals, but absolutely unacceptable service. I put an order last Friday for women’s sandals and Saturday morning asked to cancel my order. No answer at all. Today I wanted to order another pair, cannot do it. Do not know why, tried to chat or call no answer at all. So their customer service is absolutely not reliable and unacceptable.”
“I had ecco shoes for about 5 years, it was not everyday wearing, for special occasion only. Shoes has soft leather top and was very comfortable for my feet. Today I put them on and noticed shoes sticking to the floor, after walking short distance soles of shoes fall apart, literally pieces of soles left on floor.
I'm so surprised, never seen something like that.
I'm attaching pics for better understanding.”
“I have had two pairs of Ecco walking shoes. In both cases the soles came apart. The claim for warranty claim, one year, was expired. Ecco did not make any adjustments relying on their limited one yeaywarranty. Who ever buys a shoe only expecting one year use. The company designed a defective sole that would not perform. I want trust them any more.”
“Never buying again. Paid a premium thinking these were still a quality product. Been a long time customer. Last shoes I bought the soles started disintegrating. Wore them maybe 5 times at an office job where I hardly walk around. Went to their website to file a warranty claim.
Sent them USPS with their prepaid label and just got the same shoes back with a general notice saying I was denied. See that this is known issue now as I have searched online and still denied. NEVER BUYING ANOTHER PAIR OF ECCOS. Keeps giving an error every time I try to load a picture. Ecco now sucks. You've been warned.”
“Certainly, here’s a review of ECCO Men’s Dress Shoes based on your experience:
Product Name: ECCO Men’s Dress Shoes
Purchase Date: Spring 2022
Usage Duration: Approximately two years
Review:
I have always appreciated ECCO’s dress shoes for their elegant design and comfort, making them suitable for formal occasions. However, I am disappointed with the durability of the soles. After not wearing them for a year, I found that the soles had cracked and crumbled, rendering the shoes unwearable. Notably, the leather uppers remained in excellent condition, indicating the use of high-quality materials for the upper part of the shoe.
Pros:
• High-quality leather uppers that maintain their appearance over time.
• Comfortable fit appropriate for formal settings.
Cons:
• Sole durability is lacking; extended periods of non-use led to deterioration.
Suggestions:
It appears that ECCO uses polyurethane (PU) for their soles, which, while lightweight and comfortable, can degrade over time, especially if not worn regularly. This degradation is due to a process called hydrolysis, where moisture causes the PU to break down. To mitigate this, it’s advisable to wear the shoes periodically to prevent moisture buildup. Additionally, storing them in a cool, dry place can help prolong the life of the soles. For those experiencing similar issues, professional repair services like NuShoe offer resoling options that can extend the life of your footwear.
Overall, while ECCO’s dress shoes offer excellent comfort and high-quality leather uppers, the sole durability is a concern. Potential buyers should be aware of this issue and consider regular use and proper storage to maximize the lifespan of the shoes.
I hope this review is helpful to others considering purchasing ECCO dress shoes.”
“Paid $130 for new gold shoes that didn't fit. After sending back to Ecco, I received a credit of $108. Now that's a good business model. DO NOT buy Ecco unless you know you won't need to return it.”
“I have purchased 5 pairs of Ecco shoes in the last 6 years, two of them needed replacement due to stitching.
On the last pair the soles split after 4-5 months and my feet got wet walking on wet ground. Ecco costumer service rep was quite arrogant to deal with but they acknowledged the defect and informed me that I will be receiving via email a redeemable claim code.
Two weeks have gone by and I haven’t received anything and somehow have doubts that I will.
The shoes are comfortable but of poor quality and I will not be buying them again.”
“I bought a pair online, it turned out to be the wrong size. I contacted Ecco via email to merely exchange the shoes for a larger size, their reply was that Ecco shoes can not be exchanged even though I stated that they have never been worn and that the shoes are still in the original box with the invoice. Unfortunately, they only allow 30 days for the exchange which I wasn't aware of their policy. I believe their corporate policy needs to be changed. Needless to say, I will never consider buying another Ecco pair. There are plenty of other alternatives on the market.”
“Have been wearing Ecco boots for 20 years, always the same size. The local shoe store stopped carrying them a few years back, so this time, when the sole of one of the old boots finally gave out, I ordered the same size I've always worn. These shoes are a full size larger. "Online return" is the only option. No one is available to answer questions by phone. The order numbers do not work in the online return form. Someone answered my email today, clarifying that the "online return" is the only way they roll, so I'm giving them to the thrift store.
The box the shoes were delivered in had a deep gash in it, but it didn't hit the shoes in the second box.
I will never buy Eccos again. Too bad.”
“I returned a purse thru Fed Ex and the tracking number shows M Meshew received it on 12/20/24 but I still have not received a credit even though I paid for shipping. Not sure what is wrong with this company. Their store at the Mall of America closed so with that and the terrible reviews, you’d think they would improve.”
“My second pair of Ecco shoes with totally disintegrated soles. Didn’t realise Ecco shoes/sandals have a built in disintegrated soles prior to the uppers wearing out. So much for a $200-$300 footwear. Won’t catch me buying another. Was initially recommended by my podiatrist but will tell him never to recommend again.”
“I will NEVER buy another pair of ECCO. Decent shoes, terrible company run by buffoons. 30 day return policy around the holidays. Buy a Christmas gift on 11/23 and then can't return the day after Christmas... crazy. Oh, and ECCO, how about you make your shoe sizing, I don't know, even remotely similar to EVERY OTHER BRAND?? A full size smaller than normal and still huge. Bye bye from this ex customer and bye bye to ECCO on the path they're one.”
“Awful customer service. They are condescending when you seek help. My shoes were huge when they arrived. Far bigger than other shoe brands. I had to pay to send them back which I did with Canada Post. It cost $25. A few days later they went on strike I asked if I could wait until the strike was over to return them. I was told I had to send them back within 30 days. It made no difference to them concerning the strike. UPS charged $35. So my $180 shoes will cost $60 to send back. When I sent emails each response showed no attempt to help. This is a usual situation that I have no control over nor do they. They could have waited until the strike was over for me to return the shoes but refused to do so. The final reply was condescending in tone. Disappointing.”
“I ordered a new pair of shoes online and I got a pair of used old shoes and also charged my visa card two times for a pair of used old shoes.
The image bowser er not working so I could not upload images.”
