I bought my last 3 pairs of shoes thru Amazon, and I think a substantial review of Ecco men's shoe quality is in order. I've been wearing the men's Helsinki Bicycle Toe Slip-On shoe since 2006... 18 years! However, since the pandemic, I've watched their shoe quality deteriorate to the point where I won't buy another pair - specifically speaking here of the quality of the soles. Early on after I started wearing my last pair, I noticed a small crumbling hole in the tread. Over time that hole developed into a cavernous disappointment. Further, cracks and fissures running across the tread later developed, and I ended up wearing a pretty shabby pair of shoes for quite a while. Another thing beside this point is Ecco no longer makes the shoe that I've worn since 2006 - the men's Helsinki Bike Toe Slip-On. Hard to believe that after all these years, they just dropped it. I feel like the pandemic had something to do with all of this and I believe they just don't have the people nor the desire to keep this a great shoe company. All of that said takes me to my last statement - a message to Ecco shoes: So long, Ecco. You've lost a long term customer, and from what I can tell, I'm not the only one.

Shoe quality is ok on most offerings. Customer service has declined, exchanges are no longer available and agents seems all to happy to quote unhelpful policies and obscure delays in refunds or shipping. They are not alone in the space of declining on-line service but it's disappointing because they used to be pretty good. Brick and mortar are returning to my shopping wheelhouse.

I have over 15 pairs of Ecco shoes, golf, dress and casual. I have recently has three pairs of my men’s dress shoes have their soles deteriorated and crumble off. These shoes were 4-5 years old but like brand new. As I am retired they were worn very little throughout COVID. When I contacted Ecco they would not stand behind their product and stated it did not fall within their warranty criteria. I am no longer a Ecco customer. This is a common issue with their shoes. Please do your research before buying their dress shoes with a light weight sole. I am truly disappointed with Ecco. Long time, loyal customer. Dave

I've purchased ECCO walking sandals every few years, but the last few times have been extremely disappointing. The pair I bought 2 years ago fell apart within a year. When I sent them back under warranty, they disappeared; no response to this day from the company. I tried again in their Thanksgiving sale this year - ordered a pair on sale, only for the order to be cancelled after 2 days, with no explanation or apology.

I have been wearing ECCO Gore Tex walking shoes for many many years (now on my 5th pair). The shoes had been very comfortable and a pleasure to wear, but I and am sad to report that the styling and quality of the shoes has been declining with each purchase. My most recent purchase ("dyneema" with GoreTex surround) is very disappointing. This shoe has no "tongue", making it impossible to put on the shoe unless you have access to a shoe horn. Even with a shoe horn, ECCO's new tongue-less shoes are a struggle to put on: the logic of not having a mobile tongue in the shoe eludes me. The ECCO quality control has declined: after just a couple months of wear the shoe laces have torn through the relatively flimsy fabric supporting them, so that the shoe (once I struggle to put it on) cannot be properly tied. I will no longer recommend ECCO as my "go to" shoe brand.

Soles disintegrated and they offer me a 15% discount for a new pair but never applied it to the order

Ecco shoes are very comfortable. Otherwise, I would have stopped wearing them years ago. HOWEVER, the soles are defective. I wore Ecco dress shoes for 20+ years. I was in court, on the road and with clients a lot. The neoprene soles are comfy but, at some point, the sole will begin disintegrating and falling off. At which point the shoes are worthless. Ecco replaced quote a few pairs, but the problem persisted. Sandals and tennis shoes? The adhesive binding the sole to the upper portion of the sandal/tennis shoe detaches, flops about and then falls off. Ecco has replaced LOTS of shoes for me. Finally, I got into the habit of keeping a couple pair of shoes in my trunk, since I expected a sole to fall apart during use....which inevitably occurred. I never travel with them. Nowadays, as they fall apart, I throw them away. My Ecco shoe inventory will all end up in the trash as they fall apart. Very sad since they're the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned. That, to me, was initially worth the aggravation.

ECCO TREDTRAY WOMEN'S BOOT Most important, Ecco remove client's review from its website. !!! Not ignorable These boots have so uncomfortable, the heel cups made from very tough material (not leather) to bleed heels. They are fashionable but absolutely not comfortable

My old pair of Ecco toggle sandals I love. I would love to buy another pair , but at the high price coupled with terrible reviews, I'm not going to chance it. And their website explains that the ' shoes are made in their very own! factories in , Third World countries. Ok. We're they always? Doubtfully.

Bought the goretex hiking boots for £190 in Nottingham. Really loved them - until it rained. I have worn them twice in wet conditions now and they leaked both times. Not good for walking boots - especially at this price. Shall avoid Ecco in future.

I heard these shoes were great so I was excited to order a pair. They didn't fit. It was my mistake for not checking the return policy before ordering. They say you can return shoes for free in a store. None of the certified Ecco sellers in Utah do returns. So my only option was to pay for shipping to return the shoes. $25 shipping was the cheapest option. Probably never buying these shoes again.

First pair - sole split after 6 months Second replacement pair stitching around box toe gave out before 1 year. They stitched them back up, but it has only lasted three weeks. Poor quality for very expensive shoes.
