I went to kayak.com to book flights for a family vacation, and the first option for my airline of choice was facilitated by eDreams. I had to agree to a free trial membership in order to book, but I could cancel at anytime. The trial period was scheduled to end before my vacation started. I booked, called to cancel, endured the pushy customer service rep reading their "are you sure?" script, and thought that was that.
A few days later, at 3am on a Sunday, my trip gets cancelled. No explanation. The airline looks into it and explains eDreams cancelled my flight. It costs $99 in non-refundable cancellation fees.
The airline explains eDreams has no affiliation with them, and they recommend not using them or other pay-to-play third party sites. eDreams is predatory, unscrupulous, and vindictive. Go with them if you want your travel plans ruined.
