“I had an extremely disappointing experience with eDreams Travel. They fraudulently took my money and provided no flights in return. To make matters worse, their customer service is non-existent. Despite numerous attempts to contact them, I received no assistance or resolution. I strongly advise against using eDreams Travel for any bookings. Save yourself the frustration and choose a more reliable travel service.”
“My sad story with eDreams.
As I travel a lot, in 2022 I downloaded the eDreams app, but it turned out to be completely useless. Then I deleted it from my phone and forgot about it.
On 9/12/2022, eDreams charged €54,99 to my company account. I quickly looked up how to unsubscribe on the website and did so. And what do you think, in 2023 eDreams charged the same amount again. I then emailed them demanding that they immediately cancel my account for good. I received a polite reply that 'Your Prime subscription has been cancelled. We are sorry to see you leave the eDreams Prime family.' with a long explanation that I had signed up for Prime and that they had applied some superballs to me. In the meantime, I did not sign up for any Prime. On the contrary, I closed my account.
And then, surprise surprise, just a Christmas present - couple days ago - on 11/12/2024 eDreams charged €69.99 to my account.
Perhaps some of you have experienced such brazen behavior from eDreams and can advise on how to get my money back and get rid of the company forever? Attempts to contact the company by e-mails no longer work. As I am currently in South India, a call to Europe will be very expensive...
Oh, and a word of caution to the unwary traveler - be careful...

“edreams has the worst customer and VAT invoice service ever experienced.
They basically refuse to give me a VAT invoice for my flights and they didnt give me any invoice at all for my car rental.
DONT USE THIS SCAM COMPANY!”
“A few days back I had to book a ticket to UK from Germany but it proved to be nightmare for me. Absolute customer rip off. I booked a ticket and paid the amount straight away but two weeks after edreams again took £89.99 from my account without informing me of any such charges. Phoned customer service thrice and they told me that they took that money for membership which I didn’t even opt for. After heated conversation they assured me a refund of £45 which still I didn’t receive but for the other £45 they shamelessly denied returning. What a scam.”
“like everyone else, this company is a scam. They use small print to get you to pay for their prime membership and their emails go to junk so you are not aware till they take the money and then they won't refund.
Horrible experience and you feel like you have been robbed
not sure why anyone would run a company like this
STAY AWAY”
“Everything. Extortionate prices. Terrible service, I wasted 90 minutes on the phone and got absolutely nowhere. I still have no idea how I came to be with them as I thought I was still on the safair site. I fly with safair usually 3 or 4 times a year, but will not use them in the futire after this experience. Daylight robbery. Now they have the audacity to charge R195 for some Prime thing or other that I didnt request. Will NEVER use again. Avoid this company at all costs!”
“CRIMINAL ORGANIZATION!
SCAM!
BE VERY CAREFUL!
When purchasing a flight ticket the system in a misleading way put me in the position of purchasing a free trial membership of a year subscription which would get automatically charged if not cancelled before a certain date. The website says you may cancel through the website itself or by calling a call center free of charge.
Well, the edreams website has no link to click on in order to cancel the subscription. Obviously that's a smart way to oblige the customer to speak on the phone to a person.
The call center employee, clearly instructed by edreams, was trying all the excuses possible to convince me not to cancel, even offering an amazing discount, and to make the call as exhausting as possible, in order for me to give up on my request. I insisted several times on my request of cancelling the subscription and the employee on the phone was keeping on the call saying it was a very very long procedure.
Finally I won and received the email of cancellation of this ghost subscription, but it took me almost 45 minutes on the phone talking to this awful edream call center.
NEVER AGAIN!
Edreams is a bunch of criminals trying to make money misleading people.
Edreams go to JAIL!”
“They lie with the free trial and after they charge you! Do not trust the FREE TRIAL, it s a BIG LIE! They charge you imediatley and after they say that you don t have acces to a free trial !
LIARS !”
“Avoid Edreams at All Costs!
I am beyond disappointed and angry with Edreams. They have blatantly taken advantage of my trust, and I can’t believe a company would operate in such a deceitful way. Without my consent, Edreams charged me 69.99 euros for a Prime membership renewal—despite the fact I haven’t used their platform in over a year and a half!
Immediately after seeing this unauthorized charge on my account, I called their customer support hotline, where I waited 20 minutes just to speak to someone. After finally getting through, I explained my situation and requested a refund. I was met with dismissiveness and was told refunds are “no longer possible.” Instead, they offered me a laughable “90-euro voucher” for a booking over 300 euros. Really? This is how they resolve an issue they caused?
This is not the first time it’s happened. In November 2023, I canceled my membership on their website only to be charged the next day! That time, after fighting for a refund, I was finally told my membership would be canceled, and I was left under the impression that I’d be free from Edreams' shady practices. And yet here I am, still getting charged a year later.
It’s clear from my experience, and from reading countless other reviews, that Edreams has no intention of improving. This isn't an isolated incident; their reputation speaks for itself. Friends, family, and my entire community in Bulgaria have all been warned about this company and their deceitful tactics.
Edreams, do the right thing and refund the customers you've wrongfully charged. To everyone reading this, beware—do not trust Edreams. There are far better, trustworthy travel platforms out there. Save yourself the headache and go somewhere else.”
“This company takes advantage of senior people purchasing tickets online and enrolls you in annual memberships which then charged you 69.99 every year and they make it difficult to cancel. Aweful practice.”
“Cheaters... Stay away from this so called "club". They will charge every year 89.99 for your stupidity to buy air tickets only once... It is imposible to reach them via indicated phone number... I have reported my case to the police.”
“I am extremely disappointed with eDreams. After booking a flight, it was canceled by the airline, EDREAMS promised a full refund yet eDreams deducted $200 for non-refundable service fees. It’s misleading to advertise a "full refund" when hidden charges apply. I feel cheated and will be reporting this to the Ombudsman and ATAS. Avoid at all costs!”
“Worst air ticket reservation platform. I cancelled my ticket 2 hours after reservation, and I never get the refund published in their website. Never never use this service.”
“A truly abysmal company. Avoid.
I wanted to cancel my flight tickets and got stuck in a loop where edreams told me to contact the airline and the airline told me to contact edreams.
Since my contract was with edreams, and according to edreams' own Terms and Conditions which state that they will follow the airline's procedure, edreams should have resolved the problem but they refused to help.
The edreams chat support was beyond useless and simply refused to escalate my problem. Three different agents ignored my clear and repeated request.
The email addresses for customer support stated on edreams' own website were set up to not receive email.
I stumbled across an edreams webform, but despite explaining the loop and explicitly saying that telling me to talk to the airline would not be helpful, the emailed reply told me to talk to the airline. I quoted the edreams' T&C which stated that edreams would follow the airline's procedure (Section 3.1). Then I quoted the airline's procedure which stated that only edreams could ask for a refund. Edreams simply did not reply.
Edreams quotes membership of IATA and CICMA, but these are not regulatory bodies and WILL NOT assist the customer with a dispute in any way.
A truly abysmal company.”
“Do not book flight tickets through this company. They are cheaters. Their business model is based on the premium club scam that works in the following way without the victim - you - understanding or feeling the nasty sting:. You get to them through a legitimate search engine like SkyScanner (which is itself a scandal that SkyScanner allows a fraudulent and fraudulent company to be part of their search engine). When you are on their website to which you were directed through the search engine - to get the price listed in the search engine you have to register for their customer club - which is an X mark in one second slot and you continue with the order at the price listed in the search engine.. There is no hint that membership in the premium club costs money. After the order you start receiving a flood of worthless emails from them and then in one of them in letters
Little things (not in the first email), they write that the club membership costs money and they will collect the money in a month. After that they cut off contact and you forget about them. After a month they withdraw the money for membership in the premium club through the credit card. You obviously don't notice the money being dropped. You don't remember at all that you ordered something through them and you certainly don't know that the company that was nothing but X in the flight registration process costs money. After a year, they decline again, and so on until, by chance, after a few years you go up against them and cancel the charge and discover that you paid ten times the price of the plane ticket, for membership in a worthless club that you didn't even know you were a member of and you never received any reminders, notices or offers for any service following it membership. So I did make a single dollar on the ticket price of $25 instead of $26, which was the next competitor's price according to the search engine, but I paid $70 for two years of club membership. I was able to get a refund for the second year that didn't start at all (after hard efforts and wasted time!), but I didn't get a refund for the first year. That's how I paid for a plane ticket $95 instead of $26. In short, don't get close to these scammers.”
“I am extremely disappointed with the way eDreams has handled my situation. I was charged €90 for a Prime membership I never intended to subscribe to, leaving me with €0 in my bank account and no money for food or basic necessities. Despite my urgent request for a refund and clearly explaining my financial distress, eDreams refused to help me. This is not just poor customer service; it’s cruel and unacceptable.
I never wanted this membership, and I wasn’t even aware I had an account with them prior to this charge. If they wanted to charge me for one month of usage, fine – but to charge me for a full year when I don't want or need their service is outrageous. I’m now left in a dire situation, struggling to make ends meet because of their refusal to process my refund.
This has put me in a life-threatening position, and eDreams' lack of empathy or willingness to assist someone in such a desperate situation is shocking. I’ve even provided proof of my financial hardship, but they still refuse to act. I will be taking this matter further, as this kind of treatment is completely unacceptable.
Avoid eDreams at all costs – they show no regard for their customers' well-being, and their practices are both unfair and deeply disappointing.”
