My new seller account was suspended without explanation.
I followed the guidelines to the best of my knowledge, and spent many hours setting up my account and listings. Two days later, I was suspended without any email explanation.
I opened an appeal, mainly so I could find out what i had been suspended for. I assumed it was a glitch, or some minor error in submitting bank or I.D details perhaps. I wasn't selling anything controversial, or even questionable. I hadn't even sold anything yet. My only contact with anyone on the site, was a scammer trying to get my email address, who I politely declined, and later blocked.
days later, I receive a cut and paste response from Etsy, stating i was now permanently suspended, it would not be lifted, and they weren't willing to give any reasons as to why.
As somebody who suffers with a severe anxiety disorder, and relies on a remote business to support my family, this lack of explanation and transparency is extremely emotionally difficult.
Is it really that hard for Etsy to explain what the issue was?
I won't be going near Etsy ever again, not even as a buyer. Worst customer service experience I think I've had online.
