Buying the fresh patch helped out a lot when we first moved into our Apartment, but with the sun beating down on it we noticed that it dyed to quickly, so we switched to fake grass. The fresh patch does attract bugs and flies which is understandable. Overall, it helped us out a lot and I would refer this to a friends to help the training process for their animals.
