We purchased a canvas picture a couple days ago. When we opened it,there was damage to one of the corners. We took it back today, spoke with the mgr, said we can get a refund. We told her,we like the picture, can we have a discount, she said only $5.00,she would give us.We told her,it would not even cover the taxes.she asked, what we wanted.we asked for the taxes to be covered, she refused.she said, the store buys their stock from all over the world, they come on boats. Some of the items are usually damage, some were overstock items. We told her,we paid $100.00 for the picture and it should not be damage.Basically, she told us what do you expect for $100.00.We feel that Homesense is not transparent to the customers, false advertising. If this is the case,it should be called a liquidation outlet. Our family buys alot from Homesense, would not be shopping at Homesense anymore. It is not the mgr fault, but a company policy. We are sorry the mgr have to deal with this type of complaint.Selling damage goods as new is not right, the customer should be told if the items are damage before they buy it.
