Me and my mom had a horrifying experience at homesense. We went in on the 14th Oct to the Dudley branch and bought a few things along with a pan, and the shop itself was amazing, everything went well. We came home and used the pan which was grey with a dark wooden handle, but the bottom of the pan wasn’t balancing and it sort of flared up with the heat, so at first we were a bit reluctant to take it back, but thought we will give it a try because it shouldn’t have happened. So we went in yesterday, my mom went to the till, and manager Izzie was there, and mom explained the situation, her response was that the pan was not from this store! and that they only sell Black pans. At this point mom was a little shocked and confused so she said please check your CCTV as it was bought from here and she had the receipt, Izzie went upstairs for 2 minutes and returns and said you bought a black pan not grey, it’s not from our store, she was so so so rude with a smirk on her face the whole time and mom- shocked came back to me and said, they are saying we haven’t purchased it from here, so I said to mom don’t worry we will check if they have anymore of the same ones and we can show them, and luckily they had exactly the same pans on the store shelf, so we went back to the till and said look this is exactly the same pan and your saying you don’t sell them, and Izzie returned again and I pleaded for her to check the CCTV to see that we weren’t lying!! And this time she took a picture of the receipt to check the date and time of when we came in (showing that when she went upstairs the first time she didn’t even check the CCTV!) and we waited a few minutes and she came back down and told us that this is not bought from our store you purchased a black one ( I think she was maybe trying to stick to her point and didn’t want to sound like she was wrong, and she had the biggest smirk on her face. I felt so helpless, we were asking if we could have a screenshot of the pan from the CCTV because we weren’t lying and she said it’s the policy so No! We were so helpless and felt so insulted, all we did was take back a pan we bought that wasn’t quite balancing and just wanted to check if they could do anything about it, we weren’t rude at all, in fact I believe if it was someone else they wouldn’t have moved from there, but we were feeling so insulted we just quickly got out of there. This is the first ever time something like this has happened and I hope, she is spoken to so that no other customer is faced with such customer service. I phoned in today as well and let them Know that I didn’t even want a exchange or refund anymore , but it’s about right and wrong. She made us feel so little and I can’t believe that was no value of the truth, and she should have actually taken another person to check the cameras as well but because we just wanted to get out there we didn’t say anything. I would still want someone to check just so they know that me and my mom were not lying ! I want someone to check the cameras for mine and my moms peace of mind, I just can’t believe it, I have never been so stressed over a shopping experience and how downgraded it made us feel.

Home sense has a good variety of decorative items and furniture, though the Sudbury store there is not a large variety of different furniture items. Some pieces sit for a long time, clearly overpriced with little appeal. Considering the items are kind of "sell of pieces", often without suitable matches the prices are a little high. Since the store has been combined with Winners it seems more of a miss match rummage store, than the modern store it supposed to portray and is in some areas. The most annoying thing however is that labels are stuck in the front of pictures in particular paintings and picture frames! Very difficult to remove and from a consumers perspective the management of this store needs to instruct that the tags be placed at the back of the goods, so as not to spoil the items.

Now that Ont. is opening up more, things should be getting better. Not at Homesense. Standing in the outside lineup waiting to get in the store , outside 6 ft apart...on the sidewalk..outside...did I say outside in a small town town with no cases?? About 7 groups of people from the door, an employee comes out and tells everyone to wear a mask...outside...a fair ways from the door...before going in the store. They didn't even do that when there was a pandemic , so why now, when things are opening up ? This is the only store we have been to that demanded customers to wear a mask a long way before getting in the door. On a public sidewalk outside the store. Putting one on going into the store is what we do...not outside a long ways before going in the store. Hence, we will not be going to a Homesense again , if they demand people to wear a mask at least 30-40 ft from the door, before going inside.

Ive experienced the WORST customer service at the Lawrence Square location,at Allan rd. Both management, and especially employees dont seem to have any idea what customer service is all about. Everybody at that location, always seems very gloomy, and unpleasant. Would recommend using any other location, except for this one!!

I last shopped in the Tunbridge Wells Homesense in December and I had THE most fantastic customer service from Sarah. She was a breath of fresh air. Ive shopped at various Homesense branches up and down the country and it was by far the best service I’ve received.

Purchased a large heavy mirror from Homesense Trafford Centre. I would just like to say a big thank you to Fred for his outstanding assistance. He actually arranged delivery just as I was getting home.

Purchased a metal pergola from Riverside Retail Park, Chelmsford today. Lou and Adam assisted with disassembling it, carrying it to the car and helping load it into the car. They couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. A huge thanks to you both, you are a credit to HomeSense.

HomeSense, Blanchardstown branch are amazing! A big shout out to store manager, Jen, and some of her team, Steve, Sean and John, who provided us with that "going the extra mile" service, so pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Made the shopping experience memorable. Will definitely return to this store!

There is nothing wrong I can really say about ”Homesense” it’s a great store but I only gave it 4 star due to its pricing stickers which either damage the product or spend time scrubbing them and yes not all products can you use googone!......Homesnse take note a make the change please

The staff are always on help to help an assist you, as soon as you walk through the door, you are greeted, by the way of good morning, good afternoon. The unique finds that you find are just out of this world, amazing springs to mind. You get so many great bargains are a price to suit your pocket, which allows you to purchase more. The other thing I like about it on rare organisations their are only one of each, which makes your purchase even better, you can enjoy hours of shopping surrounded by the ambience.

Over the last year I have furnished a small house and many of my furnishings have come from Homesense, their products are very fairly priced, good quality. I like that items are not bought in as a mass product and are sometimes very unusual.

The staff appeared so miserable, one of the staff members cut across me as if I was invisible and another one coughed in my face. Awful experience for a shop that I really love(d).

Ordered a table through Amazon that arrived damaged, the worst part was that the previous customers invoice was still inside the packaging and I was able to confirm (once I spoke with them) that they had returned it with the same damage. My message for Homesense would be - don’t send out damaged returns to new customers (and where is your data protection of the previous customer?) That I was able to contact because you had enclosed their personal details!
