I recently purchased 2 lamps from John Lewis. I paid extra to have them delivered on the Sunday, but late in the day, I realised they weren't going to make it. I rang customer service, they promptly refunded the shipping costs and secured delivery for the Monday.
What really blew my over, was that when I said I was nervous about leaving the package unattended by my doorstep- while I was a t work- that THEY would take responsibility if the package was damaged or gone missing.
To top it off, the lamps are perfect and nice quality for the price.
