I ordered through the McDonalds app and a burger was missing when it got delivered. It's impossible to get this resolved. I tried the virtual assistant but it kept crashing. I rang the restaurant and they gave me the number of an Uber support line. I rang that line and they said they couldn't help me and I'd have to ring McDonalds. I rang McDonalds back and was told I would have to drive to the restaurant to collect the burger which I'd paid for the delivery of. They then gave me another number of head office. I rang that and they said I'd have to ring a different Uber number. I rang that and they said I have to go through their app. I went on that and they finally agreed to give me a refund. £2.97 refund for a missing £6.89 burger. When I queried that, they pasted some default text about it being McDonalds fault then refused to talk to me. It's ridiculous that I have to now pursue a refund through my credit card provider rather than the restaurant just correcting their mistake.
