Unfortunately, since Places for people leisure (www.placesforpeopleleisure.org) have taken over the running of Romsey rapids sports complex it had degraded rapidly. The staff have lost all moral, the website doesn't work, they don't seem to be able to operate a squash court booking system and the gym is not operated as well as it was previously. This seems to be a case of messing with something which was working fine, I can only assume that this was for financial reasons. Perhaps places for people are either very cheap operators or they're just sapping the place of money for their own gain. Either way, the local Romsey community has lost a good facility and now just has a very poorly run facility.
