I want to tell you about my shopping experience and the absurd policy of dishonest customer treatment.
I bought Hugo Boss Ultimate (with the green "Ultimate" inscription) as it was displayed on The Perfume Shop's website. When I received the package, I didn't immediately notice that the inscription was black, not green. I sprayed the perfume and instantly realised it wasn't the right one.
I sent the product back, explaining that they had sent me the wrong item. In response to my complaint, I was told they wouldn't accept the return because the product had been opened and sprayed, and for "hygiene reasons," they couldn't process the return.
Firstly, the store sent the wrong product to begin with. Secondly, what "hygiene reasons" are they talking about? People go to clothing stores and try on shirts and blouses, which is far less hygienic, and somehow those stores don't seem to care. Nobody puts perfume under their armpits or on their crotch.
I advise everyone to avoid this store and think very carefully before making a purchase. My wife has already stopped shopping at The Perfume Shop, and she used to buy from them several times a year. I've never had a problem with returns at Fraser, Notino, or other stores. Avoid this shop if you don't want to be scammed, because that's exactly what The Perfume Shop is doing.
