I recently purchased a Alaia Bag from Vestiaire and upon receiving it the bag was clearly counterfeit. The biggest giveway was that it was not even made of leather but a PU leather. I worked in luxury goods for years and I can spot a fake a mile off. I contacted Vestiaire where they agreed to authenticate the bag so I sent the bag off to be authenticated. A few days later I received an email stating that the bag was authentic and in order for me to get my money back they would relist the bag under my profile minus the seller fees. Luckily i purchased the item with paypal and immediately put a claim in. So their authenticity experts is just a scam. I wont be purchasing from them again.
