Tried to purchase a battery for my car at Walmart. I called the local store to see if they had them in stock and no one picked up the phone. I called for 2 hours and still no one picked up the phone. So I checked online at walmart.com and found they had 5 in stock at my local store. I ordered the battery, they charged my card and sent me a thank you for my order also saying they would send an email letting me know when I could pick up the battery. About 2 hours later I get an email saying they were out of stock and my order was cancelled.
I checked the website again and found another store that had the battery so I called that store. That store answered the phone and the clerk checked the shelves and said they had plenty in stock.
I told him I would order online and come in and pick it up. I ordered the battery and the same thing happened; my order was cancelled because they were out of stock. I called back to verify they had them in stock and the clerk said they did and had no idea why the orders were being cancelled.
So I spend half a day wasting time trying to order a battery online and my credit card was charged twice for the two cancelled orders. I'm sure I will get the money credited back to my card but what a hassle dealing with Walmart.
