We purchased a Hoverstar on Walmart.com for my daughter for Christmas. Tried all day to get it to work but were not successful. Hoverboard never would charge. I went to the Greece Walmart during the early morning on 12/26/22 and was told they would not return item, because they no longer sell it. Not true, as item can still be seen and purchased online at Walmart.com. On 12/27/22 tried returning it at Brockport Walmart but was told they have nothing to do with Walmart.com and we would have to go through them to make the return. Ironically our online receipt disappeared from our account that evening (Why would Walmart delete my proof of purchase?) Called that number on 12/28/2022 and were told they would not make return but would need to go through the company that made item. We were given a phone number to call, that number did not work. My question is why can a brand-new item that arrived broken not be returned or exchanged? We have the receipt of purchase, and it is obvious that everything is brand new and in box. Future Buyers BEWARE. Walmart does not make it right by offering refunds or exchanges. Daughter terribly disappointed as this was her Christmas present. Over $100 is now lost. Would never purchase items from Walmart or Walmart.com again. Pass this information on to your friends as I have done. There are other customer friendly stores that would make this problem right. I will be shopping there in the future instead.
