My husband purchased earrings, necklace and matching ring from Warren James, Cramlington as a gift for my birthday. Unfortunately he hadn't realised I already had the identical earrings and necklace in my personal collection. We returned to the store 3 days later with both sets of items hoping they would see this was a genuine mistake and view the situation sympathetically. Sadly the response could not have been further from what we'd expected.
Staff took great pains to point out government policy, company policy and refund policy, all of which were stacked in their favor. Despite the circumstances the only item returnable was the necklace and a monitory refund was out of the question.
Customer service from Warren James is absolutely appalling. There is no 'good will' whatsoever and their managers have no power or willingness to work with their customers to turn a poor situation around and retain their valuable customers. A very dangerous stance to take when high street stores are 'dropping like flies'.
I would urge anyone to avoid Warren James 'like the plague'. Their customer service is toxic!
