Hiring a driver for our trip was the best decision we made. Our driver, Gede, was fantastic. Gede is a good-humoured driver who speaks English really well. He made great suggestions to add or alter our itinerary and we used him for most of our travel - to Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, south bali day trips and airport transfers. At each stop Gede advised us on where to enter the site, where to get our sarong to enter temples and what not to wear (don't wear sunglasses at Uluwatu :):)). At some points he knew a local eatery or point of interest that ended up being far better than the cafe or restaurant we had chosen. Along the way Gede provided us with interesting cultural information and info about life in Bali. Gede was patient and waited at each site until we were ready to go. He was always on time and happy to see us every day. It was a pleasure to relax and have Gede as our driver and we couldn't have done this trip without a driver. Traffic is much, much crazier than we expected - everywhere in south Bali.
