I up graded from the v to the gen 3. It is easier to mount, & has a better camera. Unfortunately, the battery life lets it down. I ride for about 5 hrs & my old fly 6 -v lasted the distance, the gen 3 stopped recording 45 minutes befor the end of my ride, & the light went flat before that.
I have to use an adfitional light to get home.
