My 90 year old mum was moving. Cash buyers for her property, chap was selling his mums property using DC Law. All started in November 2023. It seemed to drag on, but finally everything was to go ahead April 3rd, then the day before, dc law conveyance had an issue with the lpa!! Activation code needed, should have been sorted before. Then checks to confirm he was allowed to sell the property on behalf of his mum, also should have been done months beforehand. My mum had to move out on the 3rd April, otherwise would have lost the sale. Ended up staying with my sister and myself for nearly 5 weeks. All sorted, move date 7th May... Oh no, another issue raised. The Friday before actual move date re Land Registry, which my mum completed months ago, but this was mislaid by dc law, so they raised a new one and needed dealing with asap. Finally moved in, but the additional costs for storage and re delivery of furniture amounted to £1200. This whole experience left my mum traumatised, she seemed to age in front of us. I have read some good reviews, possibly the few that are dedicated to doing a good job, but obviously not everyone there understand proceedures. It seems that a lot more training is required. People need better training and correct processes to do the job properly. We have had a bad experience, fingers crossed they improve. Their reply on trust pilot..... Secondly, I know I was not a client of DC Law, but yours actions do not just affect your clients. EVERYONE involved thru the whole process are affected. Thats why Trust pilot are there, to see everyone's experiences. I hope the issues I raised are put in your programme earlier in the process, so that this sort of thing doesn't keep happening. Nothing back from them.....
