We have recently taken out a redundant solid fuel Parkray room heater and boiler, which was to be replaced with an open fire. Our local supplier provided a cast iron arch style open fire and slate hearth but was unable to supply an Oak surround. After a Google search we found Designer Fireplaces, they had good customer feedback so enquired with them. From the first point of contact they were very knowledgeable, They explained how the surround would be constructed in terms of rebate to fit the fireplace and choice of timber shades and finish. Delivery was on time, the surround well made and the finish was excellent. Fitting the fireplace to surround and them to the chimney breast proved simple, anyone with moderate DIY skills will have no problems. The fireplace is now complete, my wife and I are delighted with the quality of our new fireplace and surround. So much infract, we ordered a Oak over mantle mirror and guess what? that is also a first class item that has completed the room. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company and its products to anyone.
