Lovely solid, well shaped oak and though the fitting system doesn’t look like it will support the weight of the wood, and it requires very precise measuring, it really does do the job.

“After searching many websites I found the style and size of fire I wanted. However the information on the fire was rather basic, and lacked installation requirements,which would have been useful prior to delivery,ie size of recess needed and proximity of electric supply. Ordering was simple but complicated by the payment procedure which I found confusing (possibly caused by my VPN ) Thought I paid for it ,but actually paid for it on delivery. “Absolutely chuffed with the Oak fire surround. We replaced a old mahogany effect MDF one which we'd considered repainting. I'm so glad we changed our minds and purchased this quality piece. It has changed the room. If I had another fireplace I'd buy another one from designer fireplaces. They have been excellent from my initial enquiry, sending samples and fitting instructions to delivery. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you”
