The Vent wool slipper is a masterpiece of workmanship; 10 stars for the care and quality. I only rate 4 stars to address these shortcomings. The insole comes with an unusually high arch, and I can't wear any arch. Consequently, I have to discard the well-made insole and find something I can put in the slippers so I can wear them. Better service would be to offer the shoes with and without arched insoles. Meanwhile, I live in Mexico. I was not informed that customs charges would be over US$60 (MXN$1300) covering two pairs of slippers. That was a surprise sticker shock. I might not have purchased them if I had known. It was certainly upsetting. Better service would be making it more obvious before purchasing what the real costs are going to be. We were not able, after waiting for several weeks, to get the color we wanted in the size we wanted (my wife and I). We finally settled on a different color. It would be happier with the colors we wanted which are advertised but seemingly never in stock. These considerations aside, I don't want to lose sight of sharing that these slippers are a high-quality, outstanding product. Shipping to Mexico was only 5 days via DHL; tracking the delivery each step of the way was easy, the shoes arriving a day earlier than predicted. Again, 10 stars for quality; the craftsmanship is remarkable.
